Here in Mexico we are proud to show that we spearfish only while using Free-diving techniques as it is illegal here to spearfish while using Scuba equipment, The best free-diving spear fishers (often referred to as "spearos" for short, worldwide) can hold their breath for 2 to 4 minutes, and dive to depths of 25 or even 40 meters (80 feet to 130 feet). However, dives of about 1 minute and 10 to 20 meters (30 to 65 feet) are more typical for the average spear fisher, beginners are even less but can be done by anyone who has basic snorkeling and swimming skills.

We do not fish or spear fish in protected areas including reserves or national parks. We strictly follow all mexican laws and are licensed professionals.
